I am Laura M; I received my LPN in 1974. I started working at OB-GYN Care Associates on April 27, 2007. I am a native of Bloomington/Normal, and I recently married my husband, Mike, who is a Farmer/Road Commissioner. I have 2 wonderful children, Chris and Nick, 3 stepdaughters and 7 amazing grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. My favorite singer is Carrie Underwood; I enjoy walking, reading and spending time with my wonderful family. I love my job, my coworkers and the patients! I have worked for 27 plus years in various fields, and my education has been on the job. I am married with 3 children; we have 2 cats, 1 dog and 1 horse. I enjoy spending my free time camping with family, hiking, and reading; as well as going to horse and dog shows. I love all of the people I work with; I enjoy getting to meet all of the babies after having known their families during the 9 months that they were coming to the office. I really enjoy interacting with the patients that come in for their check-ups and visits.
I have worked at OB-GYN Care since 2002 and have been an RN, BSN since 2004. I attended Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University. I enjoy developing relationships with our patients and their loved ones as well as giving them outstanding care. I also enjoy the updated, exciting atmosphere in the office and spending the day with great co-workers! I am happily married with two wonderful children. I absolutely love being a mom. My family is my priority and I spend most of my time outside of work with my family and enjoying the outdoors. We take family bike rides and "play" outdoors. I also love running in my spare time.
I am married and have 3 married daughters along with 7 grandchildren. My hometown is Chenoa, IL and I attended Bloomington School of Practical Nursing in 1971. We owned and operated Green Thumb Gardens Florist and Garden Center in Chenoa from 1982-2001. I loved the floral business and I could be home while raising daughters- when the last one graduated from college, my husband and I were able to choose and go on to new/continued careers. I have been with OB-GYN Care since 2001. My hobbies include gardening, reading, beading jewelry, Zumba and traveling, especially to the Caribbean. I love working in nursing-I especially like to meet women and help them make good healthcare choices. The women are typically the center of each family, and their example to their family is so important for overall health of everyone in that family. Take care of yourselves, girls and gals...you're all very special women in someone's lives.
I graduated from Kankakee College and have 20 plus years in OB-GYN Care. I have been happily married for 22 years and have 3 wonderful children, Cody, Troy and Karly. We have a cat named Max and my hobbies include reading, sewing and baking.
I have been a nurse for 27 years. I attended Black Hawk College and received my LPN in 1984. I am happily married and together we have 3 wonderful children and 3 beautiful granddaughters with another one on the way!! When I am not working I am outside in my flower gardens. I also love to read. I play the organ in church on Sundays and love to play my flute. But, mostly I love being with my family. I am very excited about being here and look forward to meeting all of you.
I'm Melle. I recently turned 30 and made the switch from veterinary medicine to human medicine and I haven't regretted it for a second. I am the proud parent of a very bright and beautiful 10 year old daughter, Caitlin. Our household has a multitude of furry children as well - 3 cats (Flower, Fauna and Chickia), a dog (Lotus) and a rat (Petunia). I play roller derby for the Mclean County MissFits in my rare downtime and love the rush and the reward of playing such an aggressive sport while raising thousands of dollars for charity. I also am an aspiring writer. I'm so glad to be with Ob-Gyn Care as your nurse technician and look forward to meeting you!
I am originally from Chicago, IL. I have an AA Degree in Liberal Arts and Science, Radiology Technician, and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography. I am a member of the SDMS-Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. I have been performing ultrasound exams since the 1980's and I specialize in Abdomen & OB/GYN Exams. I have some training in vascular exams and enjoy one on one interaction with people. I try to provide the best possible scans that I can for all. I enjoy working with the OB-GYN Care team because they take the time to listen to their patients and they provide excellent care to all. As a team we all work well together. I enjoy sewing, crafts, and spending time with my family and friends.
My name is Patty. I am the Patient Services Coordinator and Administrative Assistant here at OB-GYN Care. I have been involved with administrative work and patient relations for about 7 years. I get to assist patients with the process of scheduling procedures and surgeries. You may also see me at marketing events around town. I also enjoy the administrative aspect of my job. There are so many things that go into running a medical practice. I had no idea! Another service I get to offer is being a Notary Public. I have been married for 26 years. I have two wonderful children; a son and a daughter, and 2 very handsome grandsons ages 1 and 2.
My name is Lynne and I am a Patient Account Representative here at OB-GYN Care. My career in medical billing has span over 11 years and have included the fields of Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Gastroenterology. I have been married for 16 years and have three children. My outside interests include crafts, gardening, and decorating.
Hi, my name is Jennifer and I joined the OB-GYN Care family in June 2008. I am a Certified Professional Coder and obtained my certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders in August 2006. I began working in medical billing and coding in April of 1994 and during this time, I have gained experience in Urgent Care, Family Practice, Pediatrics, Surgery and Obstetrics/Gynecology. I enjoy the daily challenge of coding and billing. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, reading, camping and boating.
I am a Nationally Certified, Licensed Massage Therapist. I have 18 years experience in health related fields and became a massage therapist in 2005. I Graduated from Midwest Technical Institute in Lincoln, Illinois. I love to travel and have done a lot of it. I have worked in spas, and 1 chiropractic office. I specialize in deep tissue massage although I use many different techniques and can do the lighter spa treatments as well. I am excited to be able to offer my services in a medical environment and be able to offer an all natural alternative treatment for pain, especially for those pregnant clients who don't want to use pain medication while they are expecting. I am very happily married and we have 4 teenagers: Mikey-19, Sis-17, Shane-17 and Kayla-16. We also have our four legged child who is the most spoiled: Peaches-4. In my spare time I enjoy reading, jewelry making and crafting of all kinds, sewing and crocheting, gardening, cooking and baking as well as restoring furniture.
I am an alumna of Illinois State University with a degree in Art and then went on to study Massage Therapy at the Midwest School of Cosmetology at Lincoln College. I utilize the power of massage and other energy methods within the field to help make my clients relaxed and complete, like a whole person again. Other tidbits: my favorite color is anything that sparkles, and I have a sweet tooth, especially for cheesecake.
I have enjoyed working in the health care industry since 1997. Prior to coming to OB-GYN Care in 2008 I was a Registered Respiratory Therapist. After working at St. Joe's for 11 years I went back to school to complete my Bachelor's Degree. I graduated from Greenville College with a degree in Organizational Leadership. What I like best about this career is the challenge of running an office, the patient interaction, and the flexibility I can have for my family. Theo and I have been married since 1998 and have 2 kids, Luke (6) and Mara (5). They keep us very busy, on our toes and entertained. In my spare time I enjoy going on trips with my family, running and scrapbooking.
I have been in health care since 1990 and have been in the management field for over 20 years. My career started in my family flower shop. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from ISU and I am also a member of the following organizations: PAHCOM, SHRM and MGMA. I hope to one day complete my MBA from Bradley University, but for now it is on hold. I have been married since 1989 to the most wonderful man, Andy. Our children, Shane (20) and Elizabeth (17) are great kids and we can't wait to see what they do in the world. We also have the cutest Shih Tzu puppy, Layla. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, watching movies, computer gaming, shopping, reading self-help books, and wedding floral design/décor. I enjoy the dedication of the employees given to the patients with the best health care and experiences possible. We are not just a doctor's office; we are an extension of family. We are a very close group here; we are invested with each other and our patients.
